"It is so exciting to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels for the year 2019." said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country every month. This is a positive change that we are pleased to witness and expect an upward trend for months to be."
Canada is not far from the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in visitors in August.
"It is exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are getting close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We expect that this growth will continue to grow as Canadians travel more abroad.
Israel received more visitors from all over the world during 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official reopening for all travelers was May 2018. The country has already been home to over 600,400 US travellers since that time.
